Control Products, Inc. was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Chanhassen, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. The company specializes in control technology, control design and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) for the commercial/industrial equipment market. Control Products is a leader in developing electronics for the following industries: food service equipment, HVAC/R, pool and spa, medical, and industrial. The company is comprised of three major divisions: Custom OEM Controls, Standard Products, and Protected Home Consumer Products.

Custom Embedded Communications Technology

The Custom OEM division offers electronic sensor technology, custom circuit design and global manufacturing. In addition, the Custom OEM division is a leader in embedded communications technology specializing in various wireless and internet protocols.

Control Products' Standard Products division offers over 100 diverse off-the-shelf environmental controls to the commercial/industrial market, with easy online information access and ordering capability.

The Protected Home Consumer Products division develops and markets a broad line of home protection products. Examples include freeze protection, water protection and security devices. Products are marketed through retail, catalog and internet channels under the brand name of Protected Home.

Control Products' Global Reach

Control Products owns and operates four electronics manufacturing facilities. These are comprised of a headquarters in Chanhassen, Minnesota, two manufacturing plants also in Minnesota, and a manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China (take a tour).
